Poppy-Papaver cashmirina

Poppy-Papaver cashmirina  are a very easy to grow in the garden. The  Poppy-Papaver cashmirinais a very hardy plant that prefers loose soil, and will tolerate drought well. It prefers neutral to alkaline ph, but is adaptable. The foliage of the red poppy is inconspicuous, allowing exposure of the huge, brilliant flowers. Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade.

Sow Poppy-Papaver cashmirina seeds in the spring, or in fall after frosts. Fall seeding produces very early spring blooms.

Sow Poppy-Papaver cashmirina seeds on the surface of moist soil, don't cover.  Keep moist but not soggy and seeds will germinate in 10-15 days. Thin to 8" apart when plants are 1-2" tall. The Poppy cashmiriana gets 18-24" tall and reseeds easily if the seed falls on bare ground.
